Market Harborough in Bloom is an entirely volunteer run organisation. We are organised by a committee made up of volunteers that decides our priorities.
So we need people who have interest in or experience of project management, financial management, web sites and social media, plant design and selection, secretarial support, sponsorships and marketing, organising social events and facilities management ... as well as gardening!

We normally work Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:00-12:30 meeting at our compound in Welland Park. If using what3words then please follow:
Sometimes during busy times we meet on other days and support occasional events running at weekends.
You don’t need to commit to come every session or every week - you can do as much as you like.
Also, you don’t need any specific gardening knowledge just a willingness to learn and enjoyment of the great outdoors. We work in all weathers throughout the year as a team. All you need are clothing and footwear appropriate to the weather and a pair of gardening gloves.
We make every attempt to work to the strengths and interests of our volunteers. We recognise that gardening can be a physically demanding activity but we always try and work in small groups or pairs to ensure we provide a supportive environment for everyone.
Social events include pétanque, canal boat trips and garden visits.
